The homeland is more than just a place—it’s a complex blend of memories, experiences, and emotions. In this work, I explore the dual nature of ‘home’ as a space both cherished and challenging, a place filled with the sweet, bitter, sour, and salty flavors of life. Drawing inspiration from the poetry of Seyed Mehdi Mousavi, a poet in exile, I have created a layered installation that combines typography, images, and objects to convey the socio-political experiences of Iran over the past decade. Through this piece, I invite viewers to reflect on their own connections to home and the ever-evolving nature of identity and belonging in a constantly shifting world.
