My teaching portfolio showcases a diverse range of student projects developed across courses I have taught at both Michigan State University and Florida Atlantic University. These include foundational courses such as Typography I and Graphic Design I at MSU, where students explored the fundamentals of type, layout, and visual communication. At FAU, my courses—Typographic Design Lab 2, Visual Design Labs 2, 4, and 5, as well as a summer intensive course and direct independent studies with MFA students—have challenged students to push creative boundaries while addressing complex design problems. Emphasizing critical inquiry, experimentation, and real-world application, I encourage students to merge technical skills with conceptual thinking, resulting in projects that engage with contemporary design issues. This portfolio highlights the depth and breadth of my students’ work, reflecting their growth as thoughtful, innovative designers prepared to make meaningful contributions to the field.
